Reporting Period and Practices

This CSR Report is targeted at all stakeholders of the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group. It provides information on our CSR engagement and our CSR management system.

The contents of this report refer to the year 2017; unless otherwise indicated, the reference date for any data provided is 31 December 2017. The business activities of Casinos Austria International Holding GmbH, which operates casinos outside Austria, do not form part of this report.

This report has been compiled according to the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) 2016 Reporting Standards and meets the specifications for its “Core” option. It serves as the annual Communication on Progress (COP) required by the UN Global Compact from its member organizations. It also demonstrates our engagement in accordance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The requirements of the Austrian Sustainability and Diversity Improvement Act (only available in German), or NaDiVeG for short, have also been taken into account in the report. The only exceptions here are the environmental topics “water” and “biodiversity” since these are currently not determined in our analysis to be significant.

The content of this report was prepared by our CSR Department in consultation with our CSR Director and all Business Units and Corporate Functions in the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group. The data and facts reported stem from various internal reporting systems.

Unless otherwise indicated, all social indicators refer to our entire group of companies in Austria. Wherever possible, the data reported is shown separately for the individual business units. An individual depiction of the data by business unit cannot, however, be provided for environmental indicators. Accordingly, the focus for these indicators lies on the group’s administrative buildings, namely our headquarters at Rennweg 44 and 46 in Vienna and our MC4 logistics and parallel computing center in Wiener Neustadt. We also report on the environmental performance of our 12 casinos and 16 WINWIN outlets in Austria.
