Casino Graz and Casino Seefeld were extensively renovated in 2017 making them both more modern and environmentally-friendly in the process.
Casino Graz – completely renovated and refurbished in a two-phase construction project
After 18 months of renovations, the final phase of construction work at Casino Graz was completed in 2017. Casinos Austria has invested 8.5 million euros in the renovation of this venue.
The casino’s entrance area has been given a completely new layout. The foyer boasts an impressive chandelier, whose 300 lights simulate a gigantic Roulette table. The carpeting was specially designed for Casino Graz, with gold and copper as the dominant colors. The new golden bar and cocktail island are a further architectural highlight. A customized lighting concept allows the gaming area to be bathed in different lighting effects to suit the mood.
Guests can now not only try their luck at Blackjack and Roulette, they can also try out the redesigned Cuisino Graz restaurant with its stylish outdoor eating area. In his innovative, trendy, yet at the same time classic style of cuisine, Head Chef Siegfried Dick places great importance on traditional craftsmanship.
Regionality, seasonality and a love of cooking all stand at the top of his list of priorities. The restaurant bakes its own bread and produces its own dark chocolate by hand. All its suppliers are from Graz or the surrounding area.

Refurbishment also brings a breath of fresh air to Casino Seefeld
Casinos Austria also invested in the future in Casino Seefeld. The installation of ultra-modern Blackjack, Easy Hold’em and Tropical Stud Poker tables brought a breath of fresh air to the “Alpine-look casino”. The replacement of the venue’s heating and air conditioning systems followed the company’s philosophy to protect the environment.
The energy-efficient systems and corresponding improvement in room climate create a new feel-good atmosphere at Casino Seefeld.

Connection to Ortswärme Seefeld
In conjunction with the replacement of the heating system, the casino was connected to the municipal heating supplier Ortswärme Seefeld GmbH. The biomass heating plant, which uses some 78,000 cubic meters of wood chips from the region in an average year, now supplies Casino Seefeld with energy for heating. Since 2017, the casino has purchased the 513,000 kWh of energy required to heat the venue from this renewable community-based heating source.
