Regionality, seasonality and highest quality are the name of the game in the Cuisino restaurants in our casinos.

8 Gault Millau Toques for Cuisino

Contemporary cuisine created from the best regional and seasonal products. This approach not only delights the many national and international guests in our Cuisino restaurants, it also wins the praise of the leading restaurant guides.

Our Cuisino restaurants received a total of eight Gault-Millau toques in 2017. The restaurants in Casinos Baden, Bregenz, Kleinwalsertal, Linz, Salzburg and Wien each received one toque. In Velden, Chef de Cuisine Marcel Vanic was recognized with two toques.

>>We are very proud of our Gault-Millau toques. These tell us that our customers appreciate our work.<< Oliver Kitz, Managing Director, Cuisino

Supporter of the Slow Food Movement

Casinos Austria founded its own gastronomy subsidiary in spring 2004 with the goal of extending its corporate values like sustainable development and social responsibility to its gastronomy services. This is now accompanied by a return to the quality and values of the Slow Food concept.

Cuisino has long been an advocate and supporter of the Slow Food Movement. In addition to co-financing the Slow Food Vienna’s Markise stand at the city’s Karmeliter Market, Cuisino also recognizes and supports the work of Slow Food producers.

The Slow Food Movement at a Glance

Slow Food Vienna is a convivium of the international Slow Food Movement, which has over 100,000 members in some 140 countries. The Slow Food criteria are simple – food produce should be good, clean and fair. It should taste delicious, be produced in an environmentally-friendly and sustainable way and be bought from its producers at a fair price. Particular focus is placed thereby on preserving traditional and regional food production as well as biodiversity.

Cuisino and the Austrian GENUSS REGION association

Cuisino’s love for and loyalty to regional products is evident in its cuisine. Diners in Cuisino restaurants are always treated to seasonal delicacies from local producers – and, of course, products from the so-called Austrian GenussRegionen (gourmet regions).

>>We have a large network of suppliers we know well, and this ensures that we can guarantee the authenticity of the produce.<< Oliver Kitz, Managing Director, Cuisino

But the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group has not only been promoting the values of Austria’s gourmet regions in our restaurants. We regularly hold gourmet events or organize tasting events in our casinos. The highlight of the year in this regard is the annual Genussgipfel gourmet summit, which is held in Studio 44 in Vienna and serves as the occasion for the presentation of the latest Genussguide gourmet food guide.
