Sustainable Waste Disposal

Sustainable procurement is one thing, correct waste disposal is another.

We follow the precautionary principle in all our business processes: wherever possible, waste should be avoided. Internal waste officers are responsible both for matters pertaining to waste as well as for the organization of waste disposal and the verification of adherence to corresponding provisions.

In 2017, the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group generated a total of 1,264 tons of waste. 11% of this was hazardous waste and 89% was non-hazardous waste. This corresponds to a 20% rise in waste generated compared to the previous year. This year data quality and availability were much better, which explains the rise.
