3. Responsible Advertising
Responsible advertising is a key element of responsible gaming.
Our guidelines and “Code of Conduct for Responsible Advertising” ensure that all our advertising and marketing activities meet high ethical standards. In particular, no such activities may be targeted at persons or groups who are deemed vulnerable from a problem gambling perspective.
The monitoring steps and checks that all our advertising and marketing materials must go through are clearly defined in our internal processes. The activities on our annual marketing and advertising plan – and any spontaneous additional activities throughout the year – are all rigorously checked and released prior to use.
The protection of minors is a core element of our player protection activities. As part of this commitment, Austrian Lotteries has participated since 2011 in the international pre-Christmas “Holiday Campaign”, which communicates the message that gambling products are not suitable gifts for children and young people.
