Promoting sustainability
There is much talk about CSR, but only a few people really know what it is all about and what needs to be taken into consideration. To change this situation, CSR guidelines call on companies who have committed themselves to CSR to promote the concept and notion of CSR both within their company and to the outside world.
Let's talk about CSR
With our quarterly series of events to talk about CSR, we offer our staff the opportunity to find out more about the many and diverse topics covered by the concept of sustainability.
The focus in these events always lies both on providing incentives for action at work as well as ideas for conscious and sustainable practices outside of work.
The following topics were discussed at our CSR events in 2017:
- “Planned Obsolescence of Electrical Equipment” – Sepp Eisenriegler, R.U.S.Z.
- “Integration Through Sport – The Example Set by the Casinos Austria Integration Football World Cup” - Verein Sport spricht alle Sprachen
- “Put Waste to Good Use” – Alexandra Gruber, Wiener Tafel
- “Green Events” – Georg Tappeiner, pulswerk GmbH
- “Sustainable Christmas” – Angelika Hackel, die Umweltberatung Wien
We also organized our first-ever “CSR Talk” in 2017. Under the heading “CSR 2.0 – Social Responsibility Under Review”, experts discussed the extent to which CSR can be a chance for business and society and not merely an image-enhancing exercise. Two such “CSR Talks” will be held in 2018.
We plan to further expand our awareness-raising measures in future in order to promote and advocate the CSR concept in Austria.
